BOP & Utility Systems
Fuel Handling
Storage, feed and conveying systems sized to your fuel and firing rate.
Solid fuel firing lives or dies on the handling system — a hopper that bridges, a conveyor that jams, a feeder that can't hold a consistent rate all show up as combustion instability at the burner.
What’s included
- Coal, biomass, rice husk and briquette handling systems
- Conveyors — belt, screw and bucket elevator
- Hoppers, chutes and rotary feeders
- Fuel storage and reclaim systems
- Dosing and feed-rate control systems
Frequently asked
Often, with modification to hoppers and feed mechanisms — biomass bulk density and flow behaviour differ from coal, so the system is checked against the new fuel before conversion.
Usually fuel moisture content or hopper geometry — vibrators, modified wall angles or agitators are the typical corrections, chosen after the specific fuel is assessed.
It can be standalone, or bundled into a Fuel Conversion retrofit — see Boiler Revamp & Retrofit.
